When I can, I fish until the sun goes down. This was last evening ... the fishing was awful but the sunset was wonderful. I actually took this with my iPhone.

Reflections in a stream. Light travels at 186,000/second plus or minus. Seeing a reflection is thus seeing the light reflected from a surface ... and though it reaches our eyes almost instantaneously ... we are nevertheless seeing something as it was ...

In time, the rock will erode away and the water will prevail; "permanence" is relative.

"Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters." (Norman Maclean)
The earth and the human body are each comprised of 75% water! I cannot believe that this is mere Cosmic coincidence.
Albert Einstein said ... "God doesn't play dice with universe."
To me, organized religion is a haven for those who cannot accept that Reality is an insecure place, and, because they think they can hide under the covers of their dogma from that insecurity, they are vulnerable to the power brokers both in their houses of worship, and, those in government who pander to them.
Yet I am no atheist; I contend that I can see more evidence of a Creator in Nature, than any Creationist can possibly view from a pew where he likely sits, under a roof and between stone walls that hide the light from the sky, trees, birds and the wind.
And the water.
Think about a stream that flows down a gradient slope ... it is a clock ... a calendar of increments ... of moments. A leaf that lands upstream approaches you from the future ... you literally see it approach ... as it reaches your position, it is then the present ... then flows away into the past. Others downstream may see that same leaf and never know that you and they are kindred spirits in having witnessed its passage.
These are things I think about often ... and when I read statements such as, "I am haunted by waters," I like to think that Mr. Maclean and I and others, are kindred spirits ... and, kindred in spiritualism as well.
