This morning, two rich guys, each one "born on third base and believing he hit a triple," stood in front of the Battleship U.S.S. Wisconsin and pitched political platitudes to a hand-picked crowd of willingly-duped-"anyone-one-but-Obama" middle-Americans who do not do, nor do not wish to, do their electoral homework!

In a "Mission Accomplished"-like theatrical serving of bull@!$%# platitudes, Mitt Romney demonstrated his "born with a silver foot in his mouth" oratorical skill and intellectual dim-bulbery by introducing his intended second-in-command as "The Next PRESIDENT of the United States ... Paul Ryan!"

Failing to acknowledge, should he win in November, that neither he, Romney, nor Paul-kiss-your-Medicare-Social-Security-Women's-Rights-and-other-frivolities-bye-bye-so-that-billionaires-could-keep-their-$250,000-annual-tax-cuts-Ryan ... that neither he nor his V.P. would be in charge, rather, Grover Norquist and the Koch Brothers would actually perform White House duties. But the low information voter throng nevertheless cheered wildly ... (as prompted to do so by teleprompter cue cards).

Ah! the military-innuendo backdrop of the Battleship Wisconsin, albeit decommissioned in September 1991, and now a museum ... caused nary an individual squeaky-clean-looking-soul to utter words like, "WTF ... these two frauds never served one second of military time between them; what bull@!$%#!"

And how they cheered when Mr. Ryan declared that he Grover, Mitt, Charles and David Koch would " ... restore America to its former greatness ... " -- whatever the @!$%# that means. And oh yeah! They're going to "restore your lost freedoms," even though we haven't lost any! Go ahead ... ask a Norquist-Romney supporter to name one ... AND VERIFY IT!

And get this ... the sycophant chorus of "boooooo" that was heard when Mitt Romney lied that Obama has cut Medicare ... Romney @!$%#ING LIED and they booed Obama demonstrating both their ignorance and blind hatred simultaneously (and I thought this bunch couldn't multi-task). Are they serious? Ryan who has promised to kill Medicare with Mitt and his puppeteers' direction and blessings, blame Obama for what they have promised to do if elected!

While the creationist mentality will not likely acknowledge the plausibility of certain cause-and-effect medical phenomena, it does appear that hate can be manipulated to induce willing myopia and cerebral constipation! Consider the extreme divergent views on virtually the same health reform plan, the only difference being the race of authors.

HERE'S THE TRUTH!

Medicare spending will continue to grow, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), but ACA will slow that growth. According to a report from the Kaiser Family Health Foundation  over the next 10 years, the federal government will devote about $500 billion less to Medicare than it would have without ACA.

CMS and the Kaiser Family Foundation tell ABC News that there will be no benefit cuts to Medicare.  They say instead of Medicare’s being cut, there will be much more spending at the end of a 10-year window, but it does slow the rate of that growth. This is all unless Congress makes drastic changes to Medicare, for example passing House Budget Chairman Rep. Paul Ryan’s Medicare Plan.

CMS says—and Kaiser agrees—that spending will be reduced by getting rid of fraud and ending overpayments to private insurance companies. It sends a message to those insurance companies: Operate more efficiently.

And instead of cuts, the CMS says they will be able to fund new benefits, including free preventive care and broader prescription coverage, including closing the “doughnut hole” affecting seniors.

Hey ... you righties want to hate Barack Obama ... that's your right (one of the freedoms you didn't lose by-the-way). But if your lack of information and dislike of the current President causes you the serious intellectual trouble of cutting off your noses to spite your faces, don't drag the rest of us down with you! Bad enough you boo gay soldiers, cheer for politicians who pander to your anti-science, anti-intellectual agenda and call people "Marxists" and other bumper-sticker crap (when you wouldn't know Karl from Groucho). Perhaps in those "minds" where complicated thoughts go to die, some inadvertent rays of light might cause the re-evaluation of anti-intellectualism, anti-rationalism and low expectations.
