Psychotics, Sociopaths and Murderer-Suicidal Shooters pull the triggers ... to a great extent thanks to the Right-Wing Religionists, NRA-Gun Lobby Pimps/Republican Legislator Sell-Outs and Gutless Democrats.

Docs Vs. Glocks Appeal: Rick Scott To Fight Ruling Voiding Florida Gun Law
07/30/12 12:48 PM ET
MIAMI -- Florida officials are appealing a federal judge's ruling striking down a Florida law that restricted doctors from talking with patients about gun ownership.
Gov. Rick Scott announced the appeal Monday. U.S. District Judge Marcia Cooke ruled earlier this month in the case known as "Docs vs. Glocks." Cooke agreed with physicians who contended the law violates free speech rights.

I could post these kinds of outrages endlessly ...
And the insane arguments of the gun-lover, 2nd Amendment-blinded-to-reality-crowd.
Here's one ...
"We don't ban cars because of the deaths/injuries caused by motor vehicles ... there are way more of those than gun deaths/accidents."
Guess what ... motor vehicles are not intended nor designed to be instruments of death and destruction ... and ... give it a year or two ... gun deaths will surpass car deaths, and, in some states, they already do!

Gun Deaths vs. Car Deaths
A new Violence Policy Center (VPC) state-by-state analysis of government data comparing firearm deaths and motor vehicle deaths shows that gun deaths outpaced motor vehicle deaths in 10 states in 2009, the most recent year for which state level data is available. Nationally, there were 31,236 firearm deaths in 2009 and 36,361 motor vehicle deaths according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. Alaska: 104 gun deaths, 84 motor vehicle deaths Arizona: 856 gun deaths, 809 motor vehicle deaths Colorado: 583 gun deaths, 565 motor vehicle deaths Indiana: 735 gun deaths, 715 motor vehicle deaths Michigan: 1,095 gun deaths, 977 motor vehicle deaths Nevada: 406 gun deaths, 255 motor vehicle deaths Oregon: 417 gun deaths, 394 motor vehicle deaths Utah: 260 gun deaths, 256 motor vehicle deaths Virginia: 836 gun deaths, 827 motor vehicle deaths Washington: 623 gun deaths, 580 motor vehicle deaths
Here's another.
"Guns in the home protect life and property ... "
• They can and do ... BUT ... the football-player shooter of several weeks ago used his "life and property-protector" to kill his wife and then himself.
• The Oregon Mall shooter stole one of those protector-things and killed Christmas shoppers.
• The Newton, Connecticut shooter MURDERED 20 CHILDREN, 7 ADULTS INCLUDING HIS MOTHER ... then killed himself.
LET'S STOP PLAYING WITH OURSELVES!
The NRA bull@!$%# claim that "liberals want to take away everyone's guns" is just that -- BULL@!$%#! It's a fear-tactic intended to promote gun sales.
What sane Americans want (including a reported 74% of NRA members), is GUN SAFETY LEGISLATION including BACKGROUND CHECKS AND A NATIONAL DATABASE WHICH THE NRA HAS PAID LEGISLATORS TO THWART ... ditto AN END TO THE GUN SHOW LOOPHOLE which accounts for 40% of firearms being sold with no background checks and sometimes, by unlicensed dealers ... HEALTH CARE INITIATIVE-FUNDING FOR ANGER MANAGEMENT ISSUES, CONFLICT RESOLUTION ISSUES ... again, impeded by gutless, bought-off legislators.
The Founding Fathers-2nd Amendment mantra is overdone and ill-conceived; in 2012, the 2nd Amendment as originally intended is an anachronistic, misapplied document written by slave-owning, women-oppressing MEN of another era.
ENOUGH DEATHS, MAYHEM AN ENDLESS PAIN generated by deadly-efficient assault weapons, high capacity ammunition clips and lunatics! Of course, no legislation will prevent those who will slip through the cracks; LAWS do not purport perfection ... they just try to make bad and potentially-bad situations better. There will always be "cracks" through which to slip ... so why not create laws with the idea of making those cracks ... smaller?
